About Centreville, MD - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!
Located on Maryland’s eastern shore, Centreville is a growing town with over 4,300 residents. It is the county seat and is found at the head of the Corsica River. Historically, Centreville has evolved to become a traditional small town, equipped with quiet, tree-lined streets and a compact business district in the center of town. Queen Anne’s County Public Schools serves the area, with older students attending Queen Anne’s County High School.
While Centreville is primarily a bedroom community, there are still some interesting things to see and do here. The town hosts the Queen Anne’s County Fair each summer, and many residents and visitors alike may enjoy a trip to the local Queen Anne’s Museum of Eastern Shore Life. The Centreville Warf and Waterfront offers fishing piers and a floating kayak launch, and Millstream Park provides play structures and sports equipment for locals. Several restaurants offer delicious local meals, including Commerce Street Creamery Café Bistro, Doc’s Riverside Grill, and O’Shucks Irish Pub. Specialty shops are also found within the city limits, such as ACME Markets and An Optical Galleria.
Located on Maryland’s Atlantic Coastal Plain, the Centreville area enjoys a humid subtropical climate zone. During the winter, temperatures are cool to mild, although the occasional intense cold front or even blizzard-like conditions are possible. Daily highs in January reach the mid-40s, and on average, the region receives only about ten inches of snow each year. A reliable furnace or heat pump is a necessity to stay safe throughout the season.
During the summer months, an energy efficient central air conditioner will help residents to stay cool when outdoor conditions become hot and humid. July is the hottest month of the year, and average highs reach 88 degrees Fahrenheit. There are many days in which thermostat readings reach even higher, so proper climate controls are a wise investment.
